Just went check on my house, McCrory off of hwy 42. Water is still rising and people won't be able to get into les Chenier or McCrory much longer. A few houses under water towards the front of the street. I have about 8" left before it gets into mine. Hoping for the best, Be safe out there.

Perkins is dry until the curve before Highland. Water is high on the banks though. Many businesses and homes along Perkins past pecue are flooded.

Pecue has standing water in one lane @ highland.

Well.. if any of you are in the market for a house in a neighborhood of young professionals (retirees, professors, etc), let me know!

I'm too tired to understand the true meaning of your post but I've been looking for a small house or duplex in BR with a good value. Sucks for many but this will probably drive down prices.

What are your thoughts on the Riverbend neighborhood? Off of Brightside between Nicholson and River Road. All of our canals feed into elbow bayou which feeds into Bayou fountain on Burbank near Lakeside daiquiri.

I was there 30 minutes ago and it was perfectly fine, with no water around.

Do you think that the multiple outlets off of bayou manchac (alligator bayou, ect.) will lessen the amount of rise we see at bayou fountain?
