would a party barge really work in this situation?

Just saw a convoy of emergency vehicles pulling boats down airline. Most of the boats were surface drives, with a lone party barge, I kinda chuckled when I saw it, but started thinking, probably works pretty well. Doesn't draft much, aluminum, and can carry a lot of people. Downside is being wide might be limited in the areas it can access.

As Manchac continues to rise I can only imagine the problems in the tributatries like Bayou Fountain will get worse.

The canal behind us that runs into Bayou Fountain appears to have stabilized over the past couple of hours. The rises noted on that cam at I10 have yet to translate to this area.

That creek that runs through woodland ridge overflowed into woodland ridge and the drainage system. Water flooded into Camelot overnight on Galahad then between 6am and 9:30am it rose a few feet to my backdoor and up into my front door.

he Great Flood of 2016: Backwater Flooding Occuring (8/14/16)
It was dry when I left at 10am. Didn't look like it was in jeapardy at all. The neighborhood streets were flooded and probably mine and a few neighbors on Galahad got water in the house. I have pics but don't know how to post them

Where at?

I suspect many people along Bayou Fountain are in your same boat.

latest update on Bayou Fountain, from the Lakes at Bluebonnet condos, just south of highland on bluebonnet
Water level came up some and is level on the lowest part of our lake near the Bayou
Still have about 3-5 feet from it getting into the lake, then another 3-5 feet from it getting over the other part of the lake
Any idea when this water will crest?

how about further back past jones creek and episcopal? my folks house is all the way back at the end on woodland ridge ave

Family live there and there has been flooding on Sessions towards the end of Woodland Ridge Blvd. Also have a friend on Tall Timbers who has 1 to 2 feet in the house. I don't know about houses on the opposite side of Jones Creek on Woodland Ridge.

The LHSAA office will be closed indefinitely. There is currently 18 inches to 2 feet of water throughout our office.

LHSAA ?@LHSAA
Multiple office employees have also lost their personal homes, vehicles, etc. It's going to be a long road to recovery.
