TONIGHT: "THE IMPACT OF THE CITY OF ST.GEORGE ON EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH.". 6:30PM Ch.19
The show will feature LSU Professor of Public Administration, Dr Roy Heidelberg- one of three professors who prepared the study on the potential financial, economic and socio-economic impact of forming the city of St. George, who'll elaborate on some of those findings. You'll also hear from Baton Rouge Metropolitan Councilwoman C. Denise Marcelle who opposes the incorporation, will also be commenting on many of her concerns about the impact of the new city on the parish. Later on in the show we'll be hearing from Baton Rouge Attorney Yigal Bander, one of the plaintiff’s attorneys involved in the lawsuit against the City of Central following it's incorporation in 2005, concerning the basis for possible legal challenges to the incorporation efforts that could take place before a vote or even after a successful vote for the incorporation. This is an awesome show and extremely informative. I believe anyone who will be called upon to vote on this issue can certainly benefit from learning more about the potential impact on the City of Baton Rouge and the entire parish.

Is that cox cable 19. I'd like to watch even though there doesn't appear to be much diversity of thought on the panel.

Exactly, the panel is completely one-sided. Nobody representing the incorporation movement will be present.

You are so proud of your children's high school, go ahead and give it a shout out, which one was it? Do you consider U high a public school, was it BRHS? If so was it pure luck they got in or was it the return of a favor for your computer work, or was it prior to 1990 when the school system was decent? And the question remains, would you let your children go to BR public high school ......TODAY?

Stop asking Russian questions, its racist.

Where do (did) your kids go to school? How old are they?
After all, you don't seem to mind if I put that kind of personal family information on this board.
But, no, it was not U-High and, yes, I would let my kids go to a public school in BR. In fact, I did, starting with kindergarten.

Funny how the anti-St. George people don't want a vote.

My kids went to EBR public schools from kindergarten through graduation. They never had the first problem. Teachers were great and their classes prepared them well for college. All of them had TOPS.
