I don’t take them. I’ve been pretty lucky not getting the flu. I don’t trust big pharmaceutical to make flu shots that don’t get people the flu so they can sell a shite ton of expensive arse tamaflu.

Everyone in my household but me got the vaccine last year. Everyone but me got the flu. So for that reason, I'm out .

That is like playing Russian roulette with your health and winning.

Your body builds up immunity and you may have caught the previous strains or variations and your body was able to avoid getting sick to the strains your household caught.

But there is a reason why every year the flu vaccine has to be reformulated to make it effective to what ever flu strains they predict will be big in the next year.

Then you're lucky. The flu is not just a "bad cold". Get the vaccine.

Don't get it then. I get them, no autism yet, but this way I'll be on record and able to join a class action suit in the future.

Tell that story to the family of the deceased man that I treated with Guillian-Barre after he got the flu shot.

Are you saying that the flu vaccine was the proximate cause of this man getting Guillian-Barre?

Is it just me or is it weird how hard they're pushing people to wash their hands after they use the bathroom? I'm not anti-hand washing, per se, but is all this really necessary?

Get your flu show unless you have a real, legitimate health or religious reason (not "I don't want chemicals in my body" or something stupid like that) for not doing so.

Yes. As did the entire medical team of specialists.

Just get it.

There will always be tinfoil theories and vague but catastrophic rumors associated with it. It's not perfect, but it is the best that we have.

I work in health care and get it every year. In 9 years I have taken 2 sick days and neither was due to the flu.

An insurance company is willing to pay you to get it. Think about that.

Their actuaries obviously show that spending however many millions on this preventative step is much, much cheaper than what they would spend on sick people who catch the flu.

They aren't blowing up my email and incentivising me to wash my hands. Also, washing my hands doesn't involve me injecting something into my body with ingredients they dont disclose. Also, where is the hard evidence it actually works? Mercury, preservatives, antibiotics, Formaldehyde, MSG, etc?

I work in health care and have never gotten it and never had a sick day.

Anecdotal evidence is anecdotal.

Well that's bullshite.

It's fairly common to get flu-like symptoms from the shot and some people get symptoms severe enough to look like straight up flu.

Now for most, those are preferable to the flu itself.

But to say there is literally no harm is just ignorant. The body reacts.
