Immediately recognized that paper from the first letter's font.

What we used to call the Clarion Error. Interesting intermingling between the Jackson, MS and Baton Rouge, LA newspaper families.

You think bums and addicts would be sleeping on the Strip in Vegas if the mob still ran things?

You think these youthful and rambunctious serial killers we have running around today would have shown even an ounce of respect to a bunch of fat and old, cured meat eating frat bros?

they would have smiled and said “I wish you well” in so many words

Then hired the more intelligent and enterprising youths to kill them

Along with assassinations of Carmine Galante, Danny Greene and Jimmy Hoffa, among others. Also add high profile crimes like the Lufthansa heist and DB Cooper heist.

Nobody gave a damn until it spilled out into the public, then came the politicans' wailing and gnashing of teeth.

No one is as cold as the goons we have running around today. They have no morals. They have no honor. They have no soul. And, they don't snitch either. Mafia has a helluva PR team.

And was gunned down on his 43rd birthday while dining with family at a neighborhood restaurant.

What a life to lead. I've seen tons of mob related documentaries and so many of the former members of the Mafia went into Witness Protection after turning on the mob and giving testimony to implicate others with the RICO Act and sending them to prison for long stretches.

Just about all of the guys that turned said it was a shite life to lead and not worth the toll it took on their family life and not really knowing what could lead to someone putting a bullet behind their ear for some mob infraction, or even perceived infraction.

It’s pretty hard to run New Orleans from Metairie and Mandeville. They were the white flighters

Go read Murder Inc. Some of those hitmen were more brutal than any hood rat. I'm talking Cartel level.
