The "downfall of EV's" appears to be propaganda and overhyped

Tesla reports 486,532 vehicle deliveries for third quarter, topping expectation
Deliveries fell about 2% from 497,099 a year earlier, but climbed from the second quarter, when Tesla recorded 480,126 deliveries.
In 2020, EVs and hybrid electric models represented under 5% of new car sales worldwide. That share reached one in four new cars sold in 2025, according to IEA.

Will be definitely getting an EV for the wife when it’s time in the next 1-2 years. It’s a no brainer if you’re just driving around town.

If cheap Chinese EVs make it into the US it will flip the entire auto industry on it's head

Hybrids or EVs are the better choice for probably 90%+ of the consumer population.

I just cannot fathom how people don't understand the difference between plural and possessive.

I love the Model S Plaid and the Rivian but they are so bad for the environment

Who could possibly have predicted this with a 4 year push by the Biden admin to move everything to electrified?
I have no problem with EV and hybrid btw but sales jumping when manufacturers were all but forced to go this route to meet EPA standards shouldn't be surprising to anyone. Let's also see how that goes now that the credits are phased out.

The orange man will keep gasoline prices high until we all give up and buy one.

He said for driving around town. If you never drive beyond the range of a single charge, ICE has functionally zero advantages over an EV and tons of drawbacks.
Late ETA: As I've mentioned a few times in subsequent posts, I mean purely car vs car. Once you get into cost, balancing out upfront costs and increased depreciation offset by reduced fuel and maintenance costs gets complicated and is beyond the scope of what I mean by the above post. No need to @ me about it

Tesla is doing well but GM and Ford just had lousy quarters because of their declines in EV sales. Maybe its because their EVs suck or maybe its because the govt isnt bribing people to buy them any more.

Hybrids
If I could get a free vehicle I'd seriously consider a hybrid. Save money on gas without having to waste time charging.

My wife loves her EV for driving around town. It’s not the best for long trips but with a little planning those can be managed too.

thank God you're here to tell everyone what they need.
Is there a single subject in the universe about which you aren't an expert?

You do realize that we've seen higher prices at the pump all the way back to when Obama was in office

Agreed….I had a hybrid pickup truck for work and the MPG on that thing was through the roof!

I’m not an expert in the vast majority of available topics. I tend not to post about them, though

And a lot of manufacturers are moving away from planned EV releases. Coincidence?
