His worship of Marco Rubio was the worst. I got that it was a satire of a paid internet shill, but the joke got old after the second or third thread. I appreciate his commitment to a bit, but it was a bad bit that needed to die.

Didn't discover this place til a few years ago and only lurked til last year. It just happens to be the best Louisiana board now AND one of the last bastions of truly free speech on the internets.

Tiger Rant is pretty much the same as it's always been. The Movie Board still has some good discussions from time to time.
I doubt that the OT will ever be what it was in its heyday - a fun, irreverent, sometimes kind of endearingly stupid and sometimes kind of wild place. It has become an offshoot of the Poli board with wanna be debaters of one stripe and another trying to perfect their sophistry.
The occasional babe threads, the weather treads during significant events and the CSB is it a troll or not stories are about the last vestiges of the old OT.

I first experienced TD way back in the day, maybe 2003 or 2004, when I was in college. When was the SEC Rant introduced? Since then, it's become something special in the South, the best place where fans of all SEC schools can come together and lovingly bash one another. It even makes me kind of like LSU fans.
