Crazy that the case had all the links to Baton Rouge. We are like a serial killer breeding ground around here.

Yep. People were terrified of going to the gas station.

frick him.
He and his Dad held a nation hostage for weeks. Esp. those in that area.
I just wish the cop in Montgomery had caught them before the shooting spree ever started
Ten and three injured. Definitely not dozens.
Mohammed was not his father.

I'm okay with this. John Williams(Mohammed) most definitely groomed and brainwashed the hell out of Malvo, who was 14 yrs old when they met, into participating in the shootings.
Hell, his mom ditched them and went to Florida, leaving 14 yr old Malvo to be 'raised' by Mohammed.
So the failures surrounding his childhood are definitely a contributing factor.
If he's freed in the next 10-15 years, I don't see a big problem with that.

This kid had no shot. Abused and brainwashed by his dad.
Deserves life, but man, what a shitty situation.

Let's call it 15 years, for 32 total. 3.2 years per homicide

As earlier stated, not related. Malvo was from Jamaica and the other guy was from Baton Rouge.

17 deaths nationwide attributed to them ... but yeah, not dozens.

Didn't Malvo poop his pants when the cops threw the flash grenade into their car?
Not that it's relevant to anything...it's just something I remember hearing.

It's really not a big deal. It's happened in hundreds of cases here. Call him back, have the Miller hearing, and find that based on the factors, he's not eligible for parole.

I had just moved to Arlington in Jan 2002. Those bastards shot up my Home Depot at Seven Corners.
The stupid police told everyone to BOLO for a white van or white SUV. Well, that accounts for nearly half the vehicles on the road.

My sister was a teacher in the DC area at the time. Her kids were constantly nervous. Everyone living there was. Every time the news would report another killing, I'd call her to make sure she was ok.

How the frick did he survive in jail?
I would of made him a target, #1 target, if i was a prisoner in that jail.

bullshite!
When I was 14 I knew you didn't run around sniper shooting innocent people.
He knew what he was doing. He should have been executed right along with Mohammed.

He deserves the re-sentencing hearing - and also deserves to be given the same life sentence.
Posted on 10/17/19 at 9:33 am to GetCocky11
Re-sentence him as long as the new sentence is death.

Northern Virginia.
It was pretty crazy. I had driven near the steakhouse place off the interstate a couple weeks before and going to a gas station was insane. Everyone pumping their gas had their head on a swivel. Constantly checking your surroundings.
This going back and righting the supposed wrongs of society just needs to stop. Actions have consequences.
Zero reason our system should be going back over this crap.
