Churches apparently are the way to go. My ex has boinked quite a few she met at healing place. Guess that’s where the divorced guys hang out.
I’ve had some success with dating apps. Especially if it’s local women and their kids go to your kids school. So they feel more comfortable knowing your not a complete stranger and have ties to the community.

Yoga classes. They even make their sex sounds when they stretch sometimes. Normally no big girls or smokers.

Because I like an occasional drink, especially when talking to a new lady friend. Jesus. How hard is this to understand? People do it all around you, you just don't notice.

Usually get what you pay for. Met my wife 20 years ago on Match. Have relatives who met spouses on EHarmony.
Go to places like coffee shops and as mentioned, church
Live After 5 coming up as is Rockin Rowe. Both usually loaded and great exposure.
Dress to impress. Have a respected female friend help you. Be clean looking. I know of many guys who look like they should be single based on this. Good luck.

Hit the gym, take a class, join one of those local 'meet ups' in your city.
There are women out there right now wondering how/where to meet men. Do something you enjoy, and meeting someone who has similar interests goes up exponentially.

Church is the answer. They get to see how you act around others. See if you have a sense of humor, etc. Volunteering to assistant coach in little league is good. Not the coach.

Young quality women are now on Hinge. Match is middle aged divorcees and such.
As far as OP, I would recommend stuff like group fitness classes, running clubs, tennis leagues, volunteering at church, political organizations and such.
It’s hard for a dude to overcome the odds on apps. And from actually talking to girls, they feel like people aren’t actually conversing in public.
Idk if that will all work but that sort of stuff is where I am focusing my attention.
