Ive tried to be understanding but youre just... wrong. Its NOT easier, I can fly into my spot, I can fling it in reverse and whip out too. 0 effort.
Yet you have somehow captured exactly why it’s considered safer to back into a spot to be able to pull out forward.

Smith Safe training. I highly recommend.

Imagine wishcasting emotions in a forum where we... discuss things. Anything else retarded to say? That's rhetorical btw, I dont have faith that you'd catch that. Sorry if I offended you backing into your parking spot kiddo.

Some industrial plants require it and that’s a hard habit to break. I think it’s some of that you’re experiencing.
Every facility Ive worked at requires it. But, Even then after thinking about it. If I have to get out quick. Its much easier than the alternative.
Nothing has happened where Ive had to quickly exit. Other than Small Emegericines.

I guess you pull in so no one sees your tampons on your dashboard!

All you have to do is take it slow backing out when its any sort of a traffic area. You dont have to back out between two vehicles, you just have to back out as slowly to be visual. Its not a line up job, its a just taking your time, and half the time you dont need to even take your time. Youre still in control.

Had a CEO that made it a directive to back in for emergency readiness.

Why does it bother you how someone parks their vehicle?
I find it much easier and safer to pull out of a parking spot than backing out (even with a rearviewing camera)...especially parking lots that are setup for traffic flow going both ways in the parking lot lanes.

"Im a 51 year old man on the internet who finds masculine validation from backing my ftreefiddy into a parking spot."
Jesus Christ.

Safety asshats came up with it once they got don’t putting up the 9mph speed limit signs all over the yard.

A lot of companies require backing in with company cars. It is proven to reduce accidents. People pay more attention backing into a parking spot than they do backing out of a parking spot.

It's easier to fit my truck into a compact car space if I back in.
Posted on 9/9/26 at 9:52 pm to Judnnc
Its required by most construction and oil companies that provide company trucks.

First Move Forward.
Once you get used to it you wont park any other way. Its so much safer, prevents wrecks, side swipes etc

It is a way for people to overcompensate by continuing to make their truck their identity

If in my truck, I back in or find a spot I can pull through. I don't mind walking and I won't make people wait. I'm pretty decent at backing it in too.

Right….that’s why I do it. Just spent a 30-year career backing my company vehicle in. Just kind of comes naturally to me now.
When people ask about it, I tell them it’s in case I have to leave in a hurry!

Every year we are forced to sit through a driving training. They tell you that statistically, backing into a spot is way safer.

As a short fella, I can’t park in the lines going forward because I’m not tall enough to see the lines. Backing in I can use the camera.
What does annoy me is people backing into a spot and leaving their trailer hitch above a sidewalk. That’s a bruised shin waiting to happen.
