Great singer. I fantasized about her in high school.

MTV hasn't been good since the early 80's

No way. MTV died when Headbanger's Ball was cancelled in 1995/96. The death of music soon followed.

I always thought she was under-the-radar attractive.

Nothing under the radar about that gal. She's been a crush of mine since they first came out.

Damn. What a shame. Hell of a voice, very attractive. Zombie was my favorite, simply because of the music. Dude was killing the drums.
RIP. You will be missed.

She had bipolar disorder as well as back problems that caused several tour dates to be canceled. I’m guessing either accidental death via opiates and other medications or suicide. Bipolar disorder has the highest rate of suicide among all mental disorders.

She foretold of her death

Suddenly something has happened to me
As I was having my cup of tea
Suddenly I was feeling depressed
I was utterly and totally stressed
Do you know you made me cry
Do you know you made me die

I just saw this. She was a phenomenal singer and lyricist and way to young. I liked all their music and her voice was incredible. What a terrible shame.

Man, that’s terrible news. Some of my best memories happened with her singing in the background.

Damn!!! My favorite band and vocalist of all time. I have very fond memories listening to the Cranberries growing up. I was hoping to catch them last year on their tour, but they cancelled the remainder after she suffered some medical problems. Dolores, I miss you when you're gone!

It's not worth anything,
More than this at all.
I'll live as I choose,
Or I will not live at all.

So return to where you come from,
Return to where you dwell,
Because harassment's not my forte,
But you do it very well.

I'm free to decide, I'm free to decide,
And I'm not so suicidal after all.
I'm free to decide, I'm free to decide,
And I'm not so suicidal after all,
At all, at all, at all.

At least she got to experience a drastic reduction to hostilities in Ireland. That song did a ton to get focus back on how the western world had a slaughter going on way longer than we'd like to believe

All this. The Letterman and SNL gigs in 94/95 really showed off her voice and eliminated any doubt that it was made up in a studio.
