However, IMO, the best Theo moment was from the very first episode. Bill is mad at him because he had bad grades. They then have a converstation about how Theo doesn't need to make good grades because he's going to be a "regular person".
Theo then gives a heartfelt speech about how his parents shouldn't love him any less just because he doesn't make good grades. The audience starts clapping, thinking it is a heartfelt teaching moment for the viewer. Bill pauses...then responds with this...

That was the EXACT sentiment my parents had anytime I tried to somehow justify a bad grade in school. And my mother must have said 100x to me: "I brought you into this world, and I'll take you out!"

I mentioned this in a Cosby Show thread a few months ago, but when Theo is planning on moving out and Cliff is talking to him about budgeting and money. They get through rent, utilities, transportation, food, clothing, and have money left over. Cliff asks if he plans to have a girlfriend, and when Theo says of course, Cliff takes all the remaining cash.

Reports say he drowned during a family vacation in Costa Rica.
Curious if he was in a treacherous swimming environment or if it was calm water and maybe he had some health episode that contributed to drowning.

Yep. That was the pilot episode when Theo was getting D's in school but said it was ok because he was just going to be a "regular person"
