the building had occupancy issues prior to Laura, they couldn't even fill it
the hurricane is probably the best thing to happen to it
the owners were trying to extort the insurance company for damages to make out like bandits

We temporarily lived on Clarence St after Laura. I liked living downtown and sort of wish I had access to the balcony of the townhouse for this.

My balcony overlooked Ryan St so I wouldn’t be able to see it from there but between the dust then clean up, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere around there for a while after the demo
