The cacophony at Mcdonalds

The one consistency at virtually every McDonalds is the cacophony from behind the counter as workers cannot seem to converse in a normal tone of voice. They are standing two feet from each other and bellow like they are communicating across the length of a football field. It is particularly jarring when trying to place an order while they shriek at each other.

As someone who worked at McDonald's when I was young: it's really frickin loud back there. Sizzling meat, deep fryers going, all of the beeping timers on the heat trays, meat griddle, and fryers, air vents on griddle and fryers, front counter barking out what orders they need, people on the line making sandwiches yelling what meats they need cooked, etc. etc.
