Seriously it's easily the funniest and most fricked up show I've ever seen
If y'all get a chance see it

The local talk radio guys were talking about Flat Earthers today. The clowns that called in had me dying.
Oh and aliens aren’t real. They’re just demons flying around in holograms.
I really hope these people don’t have children.

Saw it in NYC last year and although it was profane and full of tasteless scatological humor, I laughed till it hurt, General Buttfricking Ugly!

I saw it a few years ago at the Seangar. It’s absolutely hilarious

I guess mormons are one of the few groups you can go after without being criticized for being bigoted or close minded.
Oh well, mormons can go on enjoying their incredible state of Utah with its high rankings on literally every quality of life measurement....and y'all can go on enjoying your embarrassing crime rates, third world esque poverty situations, and dysfunctional social fabric.
Give me happy families, financially stable societies, complete lack of teen loser moms, and strong communal structures over whatever horrifying ghetto society of hopelessness and bottom of the barrel living standards you people offer.

Yeah they're pretty cool about. A few of them were outside of the Fox giving out their books. They even bought a page in the playbook

I’m sure it’s the Mormons that cause the difference in poverty, crime rate, etc between Louisiana and Utah

Seen it twice. Will see it again.

Because they are decent people. They literally have never harmed this nation and have actually been persecuted and run out of many states....they have provided a model of how to build a very strong society without many social ills and they get made fun of for it.
I think certain wards in NOLA, N. BR, Chicago, Appalachia, philly, etc are much more worthy of being made fun of than mormons.

The play pretty much goes after everyone, not just Mormons.
Definitely a little sacrilege, but also absolutely hysterical.

Even adjusting for lack of blacks, white society in Louisiana is still worse off on the social rankings than Utah.

How bad is it? We are going to nyc in September and are trying to decide on a show. Is basically every other word a cuss word? Would it piss you off if you were religious?

You don't have to be closed minded or bigoted to think the actual Book of Mormon is funny.
And you can respect some of their values and still think the Book is bizarre.
Mormons aren't fragile African Americans, or gays that can't be held up to any criticisms.

I've had the music CD for a while and have watched South Park forever.
All that said, I hadn't expected to reach my yearly f**k total in one night.
Some of the songs have become earworms, not a good thing to be singing around certain family members.
I had a really odd feeling early in the first act. I traveled a lot for business and often was in Salt Lake City. Some of the flights to SLC I was sitting next to young men on their way home after two years as missionaries. I remembered one who talked about how he hoped his Grandfather would be well enough to be at the airport. Well, the grin that engulfed his face when he saw his Grandfather and the rest of his family (I counted twenty) was one of the most heartwarming things I've ever seen.
Seeing the prancing boy chorus....I just hope that somehow they realize that families still exist and are very happy, because Book of really avoided that side of the story.

"Baptize Me" is great and relatively benign.
Did you have any walkouts? First time we went, there was an old couple that made it through "Hasa Diga Eebowai" but left during another song, maybe "Turn It Off".
