I'll never get it, man. I'd never be presumptuous enough to argue with a Catholic or a Baptist about what they believe but every slapdick with an internet connection thinks they have the lowdown on Mormons.

Sponsored by and affiliated with could very well be different things... especially when one of 3 words describing them in the original ad is independent, do you know what that means mane?

They were both sponsored by and affiliated with the East Side Baptist Church.
Did you just skip past this?
quote:
East Side hired Fred Phelps as an associate pastor, and then promoted him to pastor of their new church
quote:
Phelps was introduced to Topeka at the East Side Baptist Church where he was hired as an associated pastor. By this time, his wife was expecting the couple's second child. While at East Side Baptist, the church's leadership decided to open another church on the city's growing west side. Phelps was chosen to set up the west-side church.
So now you are trying to claim that Fred Phelps was unaffiliated or not sponsored by East Side Baptist Church? Do you really want to die on this hill?

mormons are some of the nicest folks i've ever met. in general they seem much more serious about their religion than a lot of christians do.
the book of mormon was fricking hilarious though. I saw it in nola and there was a group of people who showed up on bikes with short sleeve white shirtss and ties on. dressed for the occasion lol

Speaking of plays: the second author of the play, The Book of Mormon is Robert Lopez.
He has written another play called "Avenue Q" which is said to do for Sesame Street what BoM does .....
Has anybody seen it or heard the score?

Yeah, Jones was bisexual. As it turns out, part of his ministry involved trying to frick the gay out of male congregation (NTTAWWT).
Wait. There's a shite ton wrong with that.
