This boy was really just a kid. Five foot nothing and about a hundred pounds. RIP to a kid who tried to do the right thing and may the perp burn in hell (hopefully soon).

I would imagine with it being part of a murder investigation requires much more careful search methods and meticulous documentation. That likely adds a lot of time.

I've worked in a bunch of landfills in my day. They drive the trucks to the top of the pile and dump them, them a big compactor runs over everything and flattens it as much as possible, then pushes it to a pile to be buried.
Believe me, this is not the kind of place you wanted be looking for anything (especially a body) in the August heat in Louisiana.

this dude was charged with the murder back on June 20, He admitted to killing the young boy and putting him in a trash can. The body ended up at the BR landfill as the search began on 7/13

If i remember correctly the landfill search wasn’t able to start as early as they wanted due to rain. I know we haven’t had any for a while, but earlier in the summer there was that flooding in and around central.

Agreed, this kid should be getting positive news media, but sadly, this murder will be swept under the rug after today since the perp was black. Doesn't fit the narrative.
