My truck is a 2017 with 80k miles, long paid off.
My wife's SUV is a 2025, about 10k miles, not paid off, $525 a month.
We upgraded her car last year when our third kid was born so she could have captains chairs. I thought it was silly at first, but much easier with the kids to be able to move freely to the third row.

im actually saving up for a new vehicle
plan to put a big downpayment down so that the monthly is easy to pay.
im ok with delayed gratification. that said if i had an emergency and had to get a new vehicle tomorrow id get the hyundai venue, its only like 23-25k for a 2026

My car is about 3-4 years old and I only have that one because my previous one, which was closer to 10 years old, got totaled in an accident which wasn’t my fault.
Wife’s car is probably closer to 8-10 years old.
