It was on a used King Ranch F150 I bought. There is a small wire near the battery and you just slightly pull the connection apart and it disables it. No light comes on. No issue. Sales lady had a tech do it for me and show me where it was.
There’s a plug in above where your left foot rests There’s 3 connections into a wiring harness. You can unplug the smallest of the 3 to disable the auto stop/start. It also disables trailer lights though, if that’s a concern.

My 2020 Wrangler has it. I've had to change the auxiliary battery once. Luckily, it was still under warranty. But it takes the dealer hours to change it because they have to take the wheel and wheel well off to be able to get to the battery. I have not had any problems with it since. But it's dumb that they use a small battery that is charged by the main battery to run it. I have a 2021 Ram and it has this feature also. But I think that it runs off of the main battery. I don't think that there's an auxiliary for this feature.

I’ve had this on 4 vehicles now, and never had an issue. But

As soon as the car starts, that gets turned off (no permanent option).

It can be disabled on fords by unplugging the red and gray plug on the battery terminal.

The 2022 Wrangler had this and when I went to the dealer the est was ~$2k for the aux batt and labor.
I got rid of that shite and bought a new car.
Frick that noise.

It's an expensive way to game the mileage standards.
I assumed that is the ONLY reason this useless feature is on the vehicle.

They make excellent gas 3/4 tons.
My F250 diesels have been excellent, FWIW

I purchased an inline device that was plug and play. It keeps the auto off, off all the time. Worth every penny

Not enough bang for the buck

I’m guessing it’s a standard feature that we pay a fortune for having it in our vehicle
What’s the dollar figure you guess it is to have this feature?

The first thing I do after starting my truck is turn that shite off. Ridiculous they don’t let you permanently disable it in the settings.

The manufacturers claim they’ve beefed up the components to handle the extra wear.
I think we all know this is BS.
I’m not bothered by it if it’s defeatable. Sometimes it isn’t. .
It’s only on there because some fruit bag politicians said it had to be done.
The same fruit bags that are pushing full electrification.
They just need to go back to sucking dick and leave us alone.

It’s a terrible feature that no one asked for, and is only there so manufacturers can show a slight increase in mpg.
My current truck is the first vehicle I’ve owned that has it, and the first time the engine cut off at a red light, I had this momentary spike of panic that brought me back to the days when I drove a hoopty that would die all the time.
I immediately bought an Auto Stop Eliminator to shut that shite down.

It's not there for the consumer. The government mandated it for muh climate change.

This shite was put in by the Obama administration. But of course it's pretty much the same people there now, so i guess you're still correct lol

No way in hell I'd buy a new Tundra.
They are ugly.
The v6 twin turbo will eat itself
and now you tell me it has that stupid auto start stop.
My 2020 with the 5.7 V8 is looking better and better.

That is the most neutered, emasculating design for a "gear shift" yet invented. On a Dodge of all things. I could see it on a Honda Ridgeline, but a Dodge??
ugh.
