I don't really have a problem with what happened to those prisoners. Those guys wouldn't think twice about lofting off the head of any US military person in a heartbeat. Or just shooting them on sight.

My thoughts as well. Idiots in the U.S. want to play fair with people who chop off heads, don't believe in females having any rights, etc etc. Most of them are extremely religious and see what they're doing as a religious calling.

You can't play fair with people like that. You can't interrogate them like you would a normal criminal here in the U.S.. But, leave it to our continued pussification to want to treat terrorist like we treat a misdemeanor drug charge.

The total breakdown in discipline gets me more than anything else. That unit was just a shitshow.

It's been widely proven that some of the interrogation tactics used by the CIA at black sites didn't help us gain useful information.

You have a point there. But I still don't have any issues with prisoners of war being tortured or anything. If you have to kill one to get your point across, go for it.

But what if it's proven that excessive torture isn't working?

The only part of the story about Abu Ghraib that I find distasteful is that is was open in the first place.

I would have much preferred we put a bullet into the terrorists brain on the field of battle. If they surrender they get gut shot and left to suffer.

frick em.

I don't give a frick. To me they weren't humans. They don't deserve any rights or humane treatment. Get the info you need out of them by any means necessary. They won't give up their buddies with tea biscuits and hugs

You deserve torture and death as much as a large percentage of those in Abu Ghraib

Keep in mind that we only saw the pictures that were deemed fit for public release. Other pictures were reported to show male on male and male on female rape and all manner of sexual assault. I find that distasteful.
