VERY few guys wore a banana boat back then. Calif and swimmers were the most of them.

Lol im not a boomer im Gen X .

And i actually agree with you, im not one of those guys who lives in the past.. my sentiment was specific to the ‘naturalness’ of 80s women compared with many of the younger ladies of 2025 who seem to have artificial lips and artificial other stuff.. in many ways we have things better today compared to 40 years ago .. Living in the past causes depression.. living for the future causes anxiety.. i prefer to live in the present moment .

Women talked so much more dignified and less psychotic back then. Go back and watch any Youtube clip of any movie scene with a woman or any woman being intrerviewed from that era and you can hear it. Think Diane Lane or Diane Keaton. Now women talk in high-pitch Kardashian voices like they are huffing helium in between every sentence.

As a counterbalance, however, women these days statistically are less likely to have flat and disappointing asses, thanks to all the hormones and steroids in our food supply.

In the end, the two cancel each other out.

I turned 10 in 1988.. So the 80s were my childhood, the 1990s my teen years.

Its crazy how much things today have changed from then.

My brother is a little over 10 years older than me and I still remember, I guess when I was 7.. 8... 9 years old, him and his friends would be getting ready to go out and them telling me shite like "When you go out you got to keep the women around or people will think you are a f_g".. And I remember him or his friends would have a tape and would be listening to it and telling me "if you are not listening this the girls don't want anything to do with you". They would let me tape a song or two and I had this tape with a bunch of music that if my parents heard would have killed my brother and whipped me because I should have known better.. shite like 2 live crew, etc.

If a kid went to school today and told his friends "my brother said if you don't have girls all around you people will think you are a f_g". Society needs to reel it back in today.

Untrue. 1984 me says nope. I hated it then and now. If you were at least semi-self aware or not gay you were not a fan
