I guess it depends on how much needs to be done.
When the leaves fall en masse, it isn’t worth a shite. Otherwise, for grass clippings etc., it works great.
TLDR
I prefer gas powered, but my battery powered one is solid.

Big Sky was awesome during the 1st week of April.

Black walnuts and avocados also. Grapes will drink as well.

Our group keeps looking at Big Sky but the cost is nearly 50% greater compared to Utah/CO mountains

I posted a cost comparison in the travel board ski thread last year for most of the major resorts.
Big sky is definitely up there as one of the most expensive due to flights and lodging. It is an awesome mountain focused on skiing, but it costs.
Aspen, big sky, and telluride are most expensive.
Jackson is surprisingly cheap when you factor in the $400/pp flight credit they give you for booking through jackson hole website.
Powder mountain, snow basin, keystone, winter park, jackson hole, copper are cheapest.

Backcountry skiing during an epic blizzard. What could go wrong?

They've had big problems with people trying to make it up the mountains to the resorts today. To the point that CHP was on Xwitter practically begging people to not attempt the drive. A lot of people have had to be dug out.

Imagine being smart enough to outsmart the backcountry slopes that were ice hard two days ago only to have 4-6 ft of snow on top of them and then finishing first in the sprint downhill.

I just got a news notification that there’s a bunch of fatalities.

10 were missing, they found 8 deceased, and one is still unaccounted for.
I guess they must have located one sometime last night who is alive.
