Eh, we’re all going down

Live it up while you’re here.

Or don’t.

Just know this is all temporary.

I have a cousin that is a longtime frequent marijuana smoker, she has server COPD.
Not surprised ,breathing any kind of smoke over time will cause lung disease.

for sure. Considering what we know about the effects of alcohol and smoking cigarettes both of which are legal. The pure hoops they jump through to say "you see" is ridiculous.

I'll take a chance and say that filling the lungs with something other than a proper oxygen mix is going to have it's side effects.

Only because the thread title and OP content don't match.

For example:

quote:

THC-laced edibles linked to early heart disease

quote:

that may explain why smoking marijuana has been linked to later heart disease

quote:

after exposure to marijuana smoke

quote:

Whether marijuana smoke

See what I mean?

Those two sentences are talking about 2 different things. Linked, in the case of edibles and impacted in regards to marijuana smoke.

Also, “linked” vs “impacted”

Something can be “linked” to something without one or the other causing it.

I'm not anti-weed, at all. In fact, I'd legalize everything. As long as you don't drive, do it or sell it around kids, or otherwise impact others; have at it. I never smoked dope - not my thing - but could care less if others do*.

After 30 years in law enforcement I can categorically state that out enforcement efforts are zero deterrent. And I don't like how individual's constitutional rights get trampled in those enforcement/interdiction efforts.

*My only hesitation on the "legalize it all" is this is modern America where there is no personal responsibility or accountability for anything. I'd 100% say legalize it all as long as not one cent of taxpayers money goes to treatment or rehabilitation. Your body; your responsibility.

Just a friendly reminder that opioids are legal and kill millions of people a year.

You will say that for weed/drugs but like most not for everything. If someone gets in a wreck because they speed, no taxpayer dollars should go to treatment or rehabilitation…their choice their consequences. If you carry this “not one cent of taxpayer dollars to people based on their choices” to its logical conclusion you’ll end up with no one being treated for virtually anything.
