Well, not to get political but people should educate themselves about what what Castro (head of HUD) and the Obama administration are actively doing to upset the life in the burbs (mandating low income housing in the burbs) and making the rich richer (subsidizing high value rentals in citites)

"Diversity" sucks when people allow themselves to be labeled.

Rather than be an individual, they tend to stick to their "group."
So I don't think it's wrong to identify and associate with groups; however, there has to be balance and out-group acceptance and interactions.

I think it's fair and accurate to say that majority African American cities are much more crime ridden and violent than other cities. I mean shite, compare El Paso or San Antonio to Detroit or Baltimore.

Gives soulless solace to scared white people. I need to write a song.

Proud of fleeing.
Such a sad state of affairs.
Enjoy your commute.

I live in a golf course community about 25 miles east of columbus..a little over 350 homes and zero black families. Kind of crazy to think about.

Cities were the hot thing until about 2011. Now people are going back to the burbs.
Tolerance of a thing is inversely proportional to actually having to deal with that thing.

Suburbs are great if you're a listless twat

If you look at the most affluent neighborhoods in the country, most of them are burbs.
Sending your children to a school with a high percentage of blacks if you have the ability to avoid it is a form of child abuse.
And that applies if you are black also.

A very good possibility. People change once they get older or have children. But for many people raised in the suburbs, many will never choose to return if possible.

That is a big reason. I never considered living inside the loop in Houston. I would have to pay a shite ton of money to send my kid to private school. Maybe if I actually worked downtown, but I still doubt I would. I'd just use the park and ride.
I grew up in the burbs and honestly never considered living in the city. I went straight for the burbs when I bought my first house. Same with my second.
I don't have to worry about that in Cy Fair where we are.
My office also isn't downtown. It is off 249 so I deal with zero traffic and a 20 minute commute.

I will never move back to the suburbs.
They are the worst parts of the city and country.

the suburbs here in north Georgia win over the city for me. I would rather wake up to see mountains than some bulky skyline. I also like knowing my car isn't broken into
