The saddest part of this whole story is that Texas is one of 4 DUMB arse STATES that do not have a law against texting and driving. Insurance rates are going up all across the country because of stupid people texting and driving. Dumb people. Just dumb.

You need a law to tell you not to text while driving?

You could post a thousand of these stories and it still won't stop people from "texting" and driving.

Texting and driving is just plain stupid. I had a close call myself. I was texting and driving the other day and lost my focus just for a solid second and spilled a 1/2 bottle of vodka on my dash board.

Never again.

No, but there should be a consequence if you are caught doing it.

Alabama certainly has the no texting and driving, yet I see this all the time.
Cars swerving lanes, etc. going slow, speeding up all while their hands are on the phone.

Do we need a law that orders you to wipe your butthole after you're done snapping off a turd too? What if it was a clean cut?

Hopefully they can still get the tPOS on negligent homicide and make the counts consecutive.

Yeah. A poster here who works in the ER said he would be half as busy if everyone put their phone in the trunk before driving.

And this was five years ago before literally everyone had a smart phone. Its gotten worse.

We need a law against killing people too. That'll stop it. People are morons for the large part and will do as they please law or not.

Texting and driving needs to be treated like drinking and driving. Bullet to the head.
