The fact of the matter is it truly is an addiction.
I had noticed me looking at mine too much in the evening, I have to turn it to mute and put it in my office now. I check it before bed to see texts, but that is it. Weird to be so addicted to looking at it.

This thread just makes me want to laugh at young people today...but I love ya just the same. Addiction to a cell phone, how tough you have it!

Well I did this before cell phones too. I'm the unusual driver who only goes over the speed limit to pass. My girlfriend and kids all make fun of me. My mom even does. Ah well. Going fast in a car scares me for some reason. Death and what not.

play with your dong instead of your phone while driving
Well I've don't that since before power steering much less a mobile phone.

Perfected that in High School on Pecue Lane at night on way home from work or football practice.

I message people who do that. I'll be like "heyyy whatcha doin?" sitting 2 feet away from them.

Are you my brother? My brother is the lowest fricking driver I have ever seen. He works on Choctaw, off of airline. It would take the average driver to get to his job from where he lives 30 mins. He leaves his house at 5AM to get to work for 6AM.

I drive the speed limit. Is that supposed to be wrong? You aren't supposed to go over it.
I also stop at stop signs.
I also don't turn right on red when it is t allowed.
I follow the laws on the road.
Me getting to my destination 2 minutes earlier is not worth a ticket.

I never started. You're in control of a multiple ton vehicle traveling at times upwards of 70mph. You're a dumb son of a bitch if you are fricking with a phone because you have the attention span of a goldfish.

No but I used to work at the Sam's Club at Choctaw and Airline in 1995.

This drives me absolutely batshit crazy. Put your fricking phone down while you're having dinner and focus on the people who are actually there. It is incredibly rude to constantly sit with your phone out and ignoring those you're with.
I find that I stop talking mid-sentence while others check their phones. I threatened to throw my sister's phone against the wall if she didn't put it down while we were out. She had no idea she was even checking it as much as she was.

For coming to a forum first admitting fault and then asking for advice spurned on by a tragedy close to me I deserve to be ripped?

If you have an iPhone click the “do not disturb while driving” option and when you are driving your phone won’t accept any incoming messages or calls
Perfect thought; thank you.
