Just a warning to those going to Texas on I-10 westbound, they have a state trooper on the bridge right past the state line and a sign that says, “All Passenger Vehicles Must Exit For Covid-19 Screening.” There’s a trooper next to the exit to the rest stop and two separate lanes with troopers manning them.

I have a letter from my employer and showed it to the trooper and he waived me through. I’m not sure what they’re doing with LA residents that don’t have an essential worker letter. Apparently they’re demanding an address you’re going to and making you quarantine for 14 days and “will check up on you.”

They didn’t have a checkpoint last week when I drove to work.

Just start coughing and wheezing and reach out for their hand when you roll the window down.

Hilarious if people really believe they can enforce this

No shite. Like they’d spend the resources to have officers checking up on people...And if you aren’t there, what are they going to do?

Looks like it might be the opposite way in a few weeks with the Texas peak at the end of April

meh. Dallas and Houston have done a much better job. And so has the state of Texas as a whole.

So you just have to type a letter saying you are traveling for essential buisness and they will waive you through.

As they should. There is a reason East Texas is looked down upon by the rest of the state. It’s the trash influence.

Probably because of your elected officials : Mayor Turner, County Judge Hildago, and CONGRESSWOMAN Shiela Jackson Lee

Dude, you are talking Louisiana here. If someone is going to spend 50 cents in La the crooked politicians aren't going to turn them away. Leprosy is welcome in La if the person has money.

I remember when Houston was a great large republican city. It will be Detroit by 2040
