This is where I list colleges in Texas that can't compete with LSU:

Baylor (gay)
UT (gay)
SMU (cheaters)
Rice (totally frickin gay)
Houston (weak)
A&M (gagging on cock as we speak)
TCU (weak)

I'll give SMU a pass for cheating. And in the gay category, let's put a space and a make a new paragraph for a&m.

You forgot UTEP, North Texas, Texas State, and UTSA, and Tech.

But seriously, those are some impressive stadiums. We'd just spray graffiti all over them in Louisiana.

It's public school education funding at its' finest. The area of Texas where I am doesn't have the facilities like that...and I'm not complaining. The main football stadium here is very comparable to Baton Rouge's Memorial Stadium. It did recently undergo a nice renovation (not remodeling, just painting and whatnot).

My favorite in Texas is Alamo Stadium.

Is $100k really that much for being a leading professional in your field?

They generate a ton of money for their school and contribute heavily to the community. They also directly influence around 100 students and indirectly contribute to the students involved in the band, cheerleading, and trainer staff. Not to mention, the better the program, the more opportunities there are for scholarships.

Like someone else said, I was expecting a lot more salary compensation for me to be shocked.

Why would it feel dirty. Those guys are probably 25+ year vets making that kind of money. Plus they are running with half a million dollar budgets.

Clicked on the link. Kid in first slide does not even know how to correctly carry the football. His coach gets $100k+ per year for that? GTFO

that's what Texas values...

the thing is, you can buy a 100k coach and a multi million dollar stadium, but you can't buy your players having a dawg mentality. money makes them soft and that's the tradeoff

There are a few private school football coaches in Mississippi that are above or close to making $100k

Gulfport and Biloxi both pay very well for coaches.

Or maybe he's adjusting the Football?

I know though. Lot of comedians here.

Yeah the amount of money is stupid.

I was in Admin (2 steps below the superintendent) at a 5A School district and thought I was doing pretty well. Made 2 times a teachers' salary. Then I saw how much more our 27 year old Assistant Coach made than me and felt like a poor suddenly.

Football is king here.

What they don't mention is a lot of those coaches are also the "Athletic Director" for their schools, so they get paid more.

I believe Josh Niblet at Hoover is the highest paid in Alabama at $124,000 and Adam Wiengarden is at $123,000 after moving from Fairhope High to Auburn High. As a side note, Fairhope hired Auburn's coach, Tim Carter, for over 100G's as well.

How's old Curley Hallman making out?

Rush Propst makes around $95k here in a small town in Georgia. That was before his state title last year, and it could just be a base salary.

I'm curious about the donations to the TAF equivalent of these high schools. My high school had booster clubs and sponsorships sales which probably netted then a few thousand a year for equipment and whatnot. I bet these schools have donations/sponsorship revenues in the several hundred thousands of dollar range.
