I am a 41 yr old male with low T. I went through all the tests and eligible to receive injections. Can anyone that is on the same program provide pros and cons of it. Mostly looking at the side effects. They are going to inject me with another med to keep my natural producing.

Thanks

I was talking to someone the other day about low T injections. Does insurance cover that?

Don't do it. You'll have to do it the rest of your life. Your body will shut down producing on its own. Do you work out? Do you eat right? I'd try to changes those things and see if it helps your body produce it naturally. I mean some people do have a legitimate need for it.

If you are lucky, your insurance will cover the cancer your get from messing with your bodies natural chemistry. While Low T is a real condition, most people don't have it and shouldn't be getting hormone therapy.

Are you seeing an ER doc at an "anti-aging" clinic, or are you seeing an endocrinologist?

This testosterone therapy fad just seems dangerous to me. And people are jumping all over it

There's a lot of money to be made (profit margin is huge) and it makes people feel good.

The long term ramifications are unknown. I've heard differing opinions from doctors.

Why injections? They last roughly two weeks and it isn't consistent. Use Androgel. See an endocrinologist, not any other kind of doctor. He will recommend the best treatment method for your age and T level.

It amazes me that myself and 75% of my closes friends have all been diagnosed with this within the last few years as if it is a recent phenomenon.

After doing a little research I refused to seek treatment and just modified my lifestyle (diet and exercise). Others chose the medical treatment route, and now "can't live without it". Prostate exams every 6 months made me really question the long term effects of the treatments.

What do you mean didn't work? It didn't raise your T level?

The science says that when used responsibly, there is virtually no negative consequences. Give blood once a year and that will mitigate any heart issues.

As previously mentioned, go to an endocrinologist and explore HCG.

I do injections once per week and also receive an estrogen blocker and chlomophene which keeps your natural production going as well. Yes it is something to do for as long as you like but it beats the alternative

That's odd... were you showering or exercising/sweating immediately after application?
