So basically im understanding you need to get your prostate checked twice a year on injections bc it can raise your chances of enlargement and you can have heart failure so give blood once a year?

Great

I've been fighting this for 11 years. Mine started due to medical reasons associated with the meds for my chronic condition fricking me up royally.

Let me help ya out.

Figure out why you need it? If you are overweight and do not move your body you will begin to overconvert your testosterone into estrogen in a mechanism called aromatasing. You can solve this yourself with diet and excersise. Big heavy weight. Big muscle groups not just cardio shite. Also quit drinkin and eating shite out of plastic containers. Switch to whiskey beer is estrogenic. Once you get back on the good side of the fat/muscle ratio your body can go back to regulation.

Have your thyroid checked as well. Check your estrogen also. Make them fricking run it. They'll argue with you.

If you need injections it till be trial and error. In inject subqutaneuously in the fat in my quads with a 31g diabetic needle every 3.5 days. I split weekly doses into two as it is more even on my blood levels. Inject at a most every 7 days. Don't do the monthly shite. Have them watch your estrogen response. Estrogen follows testosterone spike and can nullify the effects. Do not let them tell you otherwise. I am on a very small estrogen blocker I take 12 after injection. Not everyone has to. My blocker has to be compounded by a pharmacy as the dosage is so small it has to be suspended in a solution.

Once your on it you will be for life. I suggest this to not be a whim decision. Do everything you can to bring your numbers back.

Check your fricking estrogen. It took me years to find someone to listen to me and when I did and have it right it's like a brand new lease on life.

Look at the forums on t-nation.com there are GREAT reads before you start injecting.

My subcutaneous twice a week have been awesome. I just have to warm up the testosterone with my hands or a small heater before I draw through a 31g needle. It's 1/2" in length.

Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. i am very active, work-out 4-5 x week and play sports. My main concern is having to stay on it and side effects like cancer and overload of estrogen. Sounds like too many factors to even think about starting. I would rather just live on low energy

Dhea had to be normal for androgel to work for you. Get a better endocrinologist.

You don't have to just live on low eneergy. You do have to do some self reflection. Stress is a testosterone killer. You'll want to check for adrenial fatigue.

Are you on cholesterol lowering drugs? Cholesterol is THE building block for your hormones. My cholesterol was under 100 making it unreadable. I had to eat fried eggs almost daily to bring it up. If there is not enough cholesterol you can't make testosterone.

Finally how is your sleep? Test is restored at night and highest in the morning and degrades over the day. Bloodwork is best before 9 am. You have to have good sleep or your number will be low and you'll be tired as shite.

Look at everything before they just stick you with a fricking needle.

Small fact: a man's testosterone actully lowers naturally after becoming a father. They theorize that it helps a man hang around and not still want to frick everything that walks by.
