The thing I like about this is that it exposes us for our vanity. If we truly just needed a truck for utility at an affordable price it would be a no brainer

this is 100% correct

i had not clue so many posters on this website were girls that drove trucks.

serious...complaining about how a freaking truck looks?

Is that a Tesla 4 wheeler?
Yes, and Elon on Twitter is claiming it'll be an option to purchase with the truck.

And the $70k version having 500+ mile range and 0-60 in 2.9 is insane. Faster than a Porshe and would easily outpull any comparable pickup. This truck could have been a serious contender if it just looked normal. The way that truck looks...no chance.

They will sell the hell out of those if the numbers stay the same and they tame the design.

Agreed which makes it seem as if they aren't actually interested in selling vehicles. Maybe they know they can't produce units well enough to handle a large demand.

I obviously am not a fan at all of the look of the Truck.

i'm not saying I really like the one below, but even this slight change would make it look worlds better.

That likely can’t happen. It’s a unibody design. It needs the sail pillars to be able to reach towing capacity like the old Avalanche.

C Pillar has to attach to the rear to prevent the body from twisting. They could black out the sail pillars, but they can’t remove them.

Wonder what the cost of this truck and all their products would be without government subsidies...

Also, is there any information on the range while towing this supposed 14000 pounds?

Looks like something from an 80's movie about 2019. I dig it
The ramp built into the tailgate is a game changer, screw the GMC tailgate.

The subsidy is currently $1875 I believe. With the cheapest car being just under $40k and most $50k or more, I doubt it would make that big of a difference.

I can see this appealing to the NW types.

It truly is ugly as frick, although I keep looking at it and may turning a corner, but I work with a lot of good ole boys from back woods Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama and it was hilarious to listen to their reactions this morning.

That'll be an add-on that can be purchased.

Supposedly, the Tesla ATV will be an add-on for purchase as well.

I could only get as far as being able to be "ok" with it from the front view.

The side and back, I'm not sure I'll ever like it.
