Maybe i'm missing something here but Louisiana State Parks are charging $28-$50/night to go tent camping? What the hell kinda shite is this?

I've been camping on the beach on multiple Hawaiian islands for less than that. Hell, I've gone camping in the Hill Country of Texas for $7/person/night.

Man wants to be out in nature alone and you want to charge him $30 to do it?

frick this state.

Texas is where it's at, amigos.

It's Louisiana. Everything is a money grab. What'd you expect?

State parks cost a lot to build and maintain. Just go camping in a wma or something if you are poor

You know there are places to camp that aren't a state park, right?

No, they're charging $28-$50 per night for the improved campsites, with electricity and running water and a place to park your motorhome. I believe most state parks are less than $20 for true tent sites with no amenities.
