Yes, yes they did.

Why don’t they just have a sniper take the guy out without needing anyone to get close?

True heroes ignoring significant personal risk running towards the gunfire and taking out the vile criminal killing innocent, defenseless children and their teachers. America's finest, there's no telling how many they saved. Hat's off to these two great public servants.

Officer Rex Engelbert

Officer Michael Collazo

MNPD is really good about releasing body camera footage, so I'd imagine we get to see their heroics very soon.

just a reminder that liberalism is a mental disorder. WE need to red flag all liberals and prevent them from owning weapons.

Here come all the law enforcement experts that have no clue how they would respond to an active situation

I want to say the shooter was down sometime around 10:27. Still a tragedy but it's night and day how it was handled compared to Uvalde.

These guys are badass and saved lives.

The reality is Texans like to talk big about how bad they are, how they don’t take shite from anyone, “don’t mess with Texas”, etc…..

But when it comes down to their history is defined by others fighting their battles and saving their asses.

Texans are pussies of the largest order bc, well….you know everything is bigger in Texas

Yep. The Texas cops probably had to move there since they couldn’t find a job in Louisiana

Baws who move to Texas just to find a job are so soft

Damn this board is full of fricking idiots. Let me spell it out for all of you that don't understand cause and effect.

Was Uvalde terrible? Absolutely.

Did it fundamentally change law enforcements approach to similar situations? Absolutely.

Did that effect spread across the country? Absolutely.

Has law enforcement across the country adapted to the learnings provided by Uvalde? Absolutely

Would NPD have responded similarly in Nashville had Uvalde not occurred? Maybe.

Are police departments now more comfortable with early action, and letting those trained do what they need to? Absolutely

NPD showed up and performed. They were trusted by local, and state leaders to perform, having the necessary support to perform.

Rex Engelbert and Co performed admirably in every aspect of the response and deserve every bit of praise for limiting the actions of the obviously deranged wanna-be transvestite.

Go watch the video of the officers searching that building then come back and tell us how a fricking sniper was going to help that situation.

The difference between the way the police handled the situation yesterday and how those idiots in Uvalde did is a perfect example of why broad brush arguments and accusations aren't legitimate. After Uvalde there were some people saying all police suck and are cowards.

Yesterday proved that is not true. Some are. Some aren't

In March of 1836, most people in Texas were not born or from Texas. The movement to liberate Texas from Mexico was supported by the young U.S. government at the time with U.S. Military members such as Colonel Wm Travis and General Sam Houston. Pride in being a Texan comes from the generations after the fall of the Alamo and Santa Ana's defeat by Sam Houston. So being anti-Texan is pretty disingenuous by folks from other states.
