Small South Texas towns are just a small notch above Northern Mexico towns. 90% of the local leo's were hired because of who they knew and are just happy to get a check and skate until retirement where they are set up. You couldn't convince me the response wouldn't be the same today as they were in Uvalde in 50 small south Texas towns that are 80+% hispanic. To compare them to a real professional police force is laughable.

But had the Uvalde, TX cops did their job you would not be disowning them and the “Texas” bravado would be oozing out of your asses

Wasn’t the school district’s head cop a big Beto fan, not necessarily the uvalde p.d. Chief

Oh, that I don’t know. Not disagreeing with you. I only saw the press conference.

Was Uvalde terrible? Absolutely.

Did it fundamentally change law enforcements approach to similar situations? Absolutely.

They already had Parkland.

The Uvalde cops stood in the hallway wetting their pants.

Said it many times about this topic.

If you’re a first responder you are ready to die to save lives. ESPECIALLY children and or women. If you aren’t ready to put it on the line in the moment, get a desk job. It ain’t for everyone. It takes a special breed to do that. I get it that it’s hard to find the right guys for the job but that’s what it takes.

You go in knowing this could be it for you but you’re saving lives that need saving. Libs and conservatives can’t argue that point.

Might be because they had their asses in a vice and knew they had to act or become the next uvalde.

Maybe they knew they had to act or more people (including kids) were going to die.
