Tonight was truly the GOAT night, missed the 1st 1/2 hour of Rudy because of Jimmy and his propensity too eat dynamite, but caught up with Rudy on the Isle of Misfit Toys

What kind of American man uses arse to say arse? Don't talk like Elton John...talk like John Wayne!

I think it’s one of the reasons I’m getting the itch for grandkids. "

Grandchildren bring it all back. Having my grandson climb up onto my recliner and lay in my lap to watch a Christmas movie brings a flood of memories-good memories.

And all these years later, still no one wants a Charlie-in-the-box.

They are wonderful, especially now that these classics have been restored. They look as good as new now.

Only one small problem with your ‘argument’: it aired last night.

I make it a point to watch A Garfield Christmas Special every year. The scene with Garfield and Grandma always gets me

Just not the same as old tv though. Having to catch it when it came on or risk not seeing it that year made it more special imo

Hell yeah.

Rudolph. Frosty. Charlie Brown specials. The Grinch. I watch every year.

Hell, I bought them all on DVD so I’d never miss them.

Truth.

I’d circle them in the tv guide or post it on the fridge to remember dates and times. It was a family event.

I do and have a collection of 89 different Christmas DVDs.

It’s nostalgic for me.

When Rudolph left Christmas Town, the female deer were told that looking for a missing buck was "man's work."
and almost immediately ignored that admonition and went out on their own, and shortly afterwards put themselves in mortal danger

so its not quite as anachronistic as you thought
