own the company too and the company pays for my insurance but at the end of the day it's my money that's paying the policy.

Yes, I clarified that. It is passed down to employees as well, so they can claim legit free. From the ownership standpoint, it is actually a huge cost.

But then I'd be paying more for insurance. I'm not gonna cheap out on my family, so it's a wash.

2, $0 through BCBSLA.

Company pays all healthcare, dental and vision for us. It was like a massive raise by itself when I move to this role.

This is one of those threads where people don't consider their employer's responsibility for their coverage. I'm convinced more people would lose their mind about healthcare coverage if they considered the entire cost.

I pay $120/mo for just me. Employer covers the rest.

These numbers over $1000 are eye popping.

Two of us currently around $450 through blue cross. I find that Blue Cross, although most common, has high rates.

What you will see should you marry, have kids, etc. is that once you go beyond yourself for coverage, a lot of companies have you paying the bulk of adding on people.

While I was on my wife's insurance as I was job hunting awhile back, just for her would have been $120/month but for me and her it was $500/month.

Tricare standard. Occasionally pay a few bucks out of pocket but that's about it.

Family of 3. $1372 per month for health and dental. Self-employed small group BCBS policy. Gonna have to add a fourth person to the policy soon though. That’s going to hurt. The plan is excellent though.
