$1800 per month for basic catastrophic coverage, I PAY IT ALL. Have a HSA deductible for about $6000 before insurance covers anything. Wife, and 2 childern which are both over 20. Mamma aint getting prego either and they made us carry coverage for possible pregnancy. It makes no sense this much increase. Thanks Obama care you made me pay more for others to get it free.
7 years ago it was $750 per month with $4800 deductible. I hate this

we bit it this year when my wife had foot surgery and had 10k out of pocket from $120k total bill. but i've saved $700 a month for 5 years by not going cadillac. 700*12*5= 52k+

The joke is really on you.

I would be willing to bet somewhere in those 120k in charges and contracted reimbursement rates between the hospital and carrier, you ended up paying for everything with your deductible and your insurance company paid almost nothing.

You’re self employed, aren’t you
ETA: these numbers above $1000 a month are why I’m not self employed anymore

Went from BCBS $225 to $500 with a much higher deductible. Thanks Obama and if you like your health plan you can keep your health plan.

Just me...I think it’s about $50 every two weeks for a High Deductible plan. My company covers a lot of it. Vision and Dental are separate and total about $15 every two weeks.

I’ve always thought the corporate plans that are “single” or “family” with no regard for how many people are covered in the family makes no sense. There should be a sliding scale based on number of people covered.
