Oklahoma is home to not only the strongest tornado on record, but the fastest wind speeds ever recorded on earth (another tornado - 1 of 2 that my aunt was in - Moore, OK).

The citizens of Georgia took justice into their own hands and coordinated to break convicted pedophile Leo Frank out of jail, drive him over 100 miles to Marietta, and hang him for his crimes after a crooked governor gave him clemency.

Northern California is responsible for the majority of dank cannabis strains being developed. You're welcome.

It's also got really huge redwood trees the further north you go.

New Echota in NW Georgia was the capital of the Cherokee nation from 1825 to 1830 and was the beginning of the trail of tears.

There are legends of hidden Cherokee gold that was socked away in the NW Ga mountains to hide it from the settlers and pioneers when the Indians were forced to leave - including one where the gold is supposedly hidden under a waterfall near an ancient Cherokee City - which is all now covered by the man made reservoir Carters Lake.

Which BTW is the tallest earthen dam east of the Mississippi.

Hawaii, my birth state, is the only state that once had its own Queen.

(Other states had royalty before they were states, but not exclusively - e.g. New England during British rule)

According to South Carolina tourism Harleston Green in Charleston was the first. Is that what you are calling South Carolina Gold Club ? I stand corrected.
