For some reason casinos depress me. The IP was only slightly less depressing than something like the Treasure Chest.

I took the wife there for a show, and we grabbed a bite to eat at the little café in the front. I watched a lady lead her elderly blind mother through the front door. She placed her mom on some benches, and left.

We finished eating, and went to the show. Two hours later, we're leaving, and the same elderly blind lady is still sitting on the same bench. Her daughter abandoned her to play slots. fricking depressing.

My grandmother would go to Walmart and sit on the bench all day and talk to people

You don’t know the daughter left her there to play slots

I've been there many times in the summer. Nice pool, cheap rooms. Slots are not loose. Hard Rock was better. Beau has the nicest overall place. I did like Hard Rock. Pool was nice and slots paid better. Better restaurants in Hard Rock. Eat at The Half Shell up the street even though there is a branch of it at HR. Best shrimp and grits around.

The only good thing about the IP is 32. The Chill bar used to be fun, but I don't think you'll be going for ladies night on your anniversary.

Golden Nugget has the best rooms in my opinion (and best pool for future warm weather trip reference). They have a Mortons.

Beau will be the most entertainment/best restaurants and the rooms aren't bad. The Coast is gone now but 875 will have music and a good crowd. Hard Rock is next door so just see which one has the best rates and you can visit both. Mahoney's is across the street as well.

Palace has the best sports book. None are more than a 5 minute uber ride apart from each other.

Obviously meant Iberia Parish.

After you get your hair cut, go eat a po boy from Bon Creole or some crawfish boudin from Legnon's.

Also, hit up the farmer's market in Dslcambre for some shrimp. They'll greet you with "say there tee" to which you reply "say there podnuh".

I always eat at the one in Hard Rock because they have my favorite menu item of any restaurant anywhere - dynamite lobster. It’s on the sushi menu, and not all locations of Half Shell have a sushi menu (though I have no idea if the other Biloxi location does). It’s not sushi, but it’s on the sushi menu.

I only go to the IP for the annual wine tasting in the restaurant on top of the building. Dam good grape from Cali and Oregon. I think it is coming up soon.

Beau Rivage is a lot better to me, then hard rock then palace probably then IP or GN. They do have a great steak house on top floor but I like Morton’s best

It’s a great place to close out the night after the Mardi Gras balls during January and February. I don’t usually set foot in there the other 10 months out of the year. 32 is pretty good and the wine cellar attached to it is cool if you can get the sommelier to give you a guided tour.

I am assuming that you mean the Imperial Palace...and also assuming that you are talking about the one located in Biloxi.

I attend a few conferences there every year and always enjoy the place. It is not the fanciest casino/hotel on the coast, but it is also not the most expensive. If you can manage to avoid a Saturday stay, you can get a damn killer deal on a pretty nice room. Rooms overlooking the bay have an awesome view. Just let them know that you are there for your anniversary and ask for a room with looking that direction.

I spend a good bit of time for work on the coast, so if you have questions, just ask.

All of these are wrong. Stay at the Whitehouse. Eat at Cora's. Uber to casinos.
