1) A lot of the serious-looking media types you see on TV are on the CIA payroll. They're receptive to CIA overtures because spies are glorified in our pop culture narratives. There's also a much-needed financial incentive.
2) Some really creepy people have dirt on John Roberts. Look how quickly that guy was confirmed as Chief compared to any other Republican nominee in the last 35 years.

The hysteria over climate change is nothing but a money grab in order to gain more control. I don’t see how anyone can believe that money will deter or stop something that has always happened since the beginning of time. It’s similar to trying to stop or slow down a Hurricane with money.

Yea, just a basic game theory exercise on this will knock that one out as particularly stupid.
Another good rule of thumb: the more people that would’ve had to have stayed silent, then the more unlikely that a conspiracy theory is real. That’s why things like 9/11, the moon landing, and so forth are just straight up silly.
