Well self-report measures are always problematic, but usually the incentives to lie are pretty consistent (I.e., trends can more confidently estimated than the overall estimate itself).

They are considerably more boring for sure. My daughter and her classmates and friends are a stunning bunch of girls (several professional models), and they did not even have dates for the Prom. The boys are all playing video games, or I suppose getting porn on the net. When I was young there would have been a line of guys out into the front yard and fistfights breaking out over some of those chicks. I know several beautiful girls, including mine, who are 19 and never had a date or been kissed because none of the guys have yet grown the balls or the social skills to approach them.

i kind of feel bad for my kids. they are on camera everywhere in the school except restrooms.
