My kids aren't in these categories yet but from the parents I know that have them, I believe the results.. most talk about how boring their kids lives are outside of sports, clubs, etc. Im not sure how much this plays into it but going to high school from 89-93, you didn't get arrested for having alcohol while out late on the weekend.. there wasnt a curfew either but nowadays they'll issue you a court summons which severely fricks your world up if caught. Worst we ever had was having our parents called.

I have never done drugs, didn't drink until I was 22 and on active duty (can drink any of y'all scalawags under the table, though
). Still don't smoke and never plan to.

As a father of a Junior in high school and a high school teacher I agree with this. All these kids do today ks Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook. They don't even have any good stories about parties over the weekend. Not that it is a bad thing but my daughter would rather stay home during the weekend or maybe go watch a movie with her friends. They don't even talk about parties and drinking. Lol.

When I was in HS in the mid 90s... In the Fall & Spring it seemed like someone was having a party every weekend. When there wasn't a party everyone would ride around and meet up... Sometimes do stupid shite that would have gotten us in some trouble if caught.
Every so often someone would instigate a fight and there was a certain spot everyone went to, to fight so everyone would gather up.... drink... watch a fight, hang around after the fight and drink some more.. That was normal weekend shite. Today, that would be all over the news.

The point as I stated was that the current youngsters are losing some of their ability to socialize, I believe due to electronic media, resulting that their socializing/flirting/dating is declining. Wonder if simulated virtual reality will contribute to a decline in human population. But as someone previously mentioned, the report was about drug use and not really behavior.

You realize that your junior in hs just might not be telling you anything. I don't think anyone I went to high school with had parents who knew everything or even half the stuff we did, I know our parents thought our parties involved some alcohol but no way any of them knew we were drinking/smoking/popping/snorting/fricking everything and anything we could our hands on.
