Teachers Unions will never understand that strikes are the worst tactic

Good job, Los Angeles.
You are getting ready to strike during the school year in what will impact over 500,000 kids.
You are not getting what you want. So what do you do? You directly hurt those that you are trying to enrich. This would be very very mildly akin to a union of physicians just deciding that they are just going to boycott.
Leaders of teachers' unions should be ashamed that this is ever allowed to happen.

I don't know anything about their strike, but I don't necessarily have an issue with teachers striking honestly.
Its a damn good way for every parent that needs their kids in school to get involved and make the state get to the table.
The politics in school systems is usually at least half the problem here.

All they want to do is be off all the time. Too much this summer, two weeks at Christmas, a week in spring. They strike because they need the extra days of rest.

To be fair that's probably the bet time to strike. Hey, you need me. Pay me, or whatever. Otherwise, no one to teach half a million kids.

Will school be shut down? I honestly dont know. Im sure they still have shite like the coast guard and airport security up and running. And of course all the politicians still getting paid.
