Buckets are necessary if you live in the 50% of America where the police will block the front doors and threaten the parents for a few hours before stopping the shooter.

Is it only for school shooters? They make this out like "OMG we have to tell kids this". If its such a big deal say its a disaster bucket, which would be more accurate because it can be used if a tornado hits or any other unpredictable event.

yeah that’s fine and all except one side of the political aisle uses these events as a cudgel against the other (despite how fricking gross that is). Not only do they use it for votes, but they use it to change policy. policy regarding the 2nd Amendment, so excuse me if i am not comfortable sticking my head in the sand and willing to “just ignore it” slash “why do you care” on this one.

Lots of videos nowadays of teachers getting beat up in their classrooms for trying to discipline kids.
So putting guns in there seems like a risky move… Because they’ll just get pistol whipped or shot by their students.
