There are a lot worse jobs out there than this and let’s not forget this is America they chose to become teachers after interning for 12+ years. I cannot think of a job that you have more exposure to before deciding yeah that’s what I want to do.

I’ve been teaching for a long time. This is complete bullshite. Even ELA teachers very rarely grade anything that takes 5 minutes per. I can normally grade my major tests in about one minute per.
Oh, WE haven’t been allowed to use scantrons in years.

Teachers really do not get paid enough I agree. The issue is people do not understand we already spend an absurd amount on education in this country. The issue isn't the spending, it's the Federal government is freaking incompetent at running things.

Women who hoped to marry well out of college and didn't want a real job and men who were slackers in college and just sorta fell into it.

I am sure that there is an absurd amount of waste within school districts since it seems like every election year there is a new proposal to increase taxes to fund the school systems.

Funny... I remember being able to pick my major in college... until bad grades forced me to pick another major but that’s a different story.
