Yes, this was posted on facebook.

Just keep this in mind during this busy, hectic season of closing down a semester. Imagine the number of hours spent grading by a teacher in the after hours the next time you want to justify a teacher not doing his/her job or when you want to jokingly, yet hurtfully, remind us that we “get summers off,” especially with our weekly prep time cut in half and an additional section of students that we all now teach. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a sudden shock to my system than I’ve had this semester. But, making it to the end and learning that even at my age I can re-examine and readjust, I still wouldn’t want to be in any other profession in this world. We do what we have to in order to deliver the best possible education we can to our students.

Teachers love long essays. I refuse to believe they don’t. Otherwise they wouldn’t screech like wounded birds if your essay was under 5 pages

It's tough because it's not like they know they'll have papers to grade or when the end of the semester will be.

Scantrons cut the time down quite nicely.

Touché

However I had far more scantron test than written test in middle and high school with English being the obvious exception.

It ain’t only the English teachers bitching.

100-150 students per class? I'm not allowed within 300yrds of a school but isn't that amount of students a bit high?

I like how that chart flips the script and basically says that teachers could grade the papers in class if the students weren't such stupid assholes.

Most likely junior high or high school with multiple classes of 24-30 students.

I need to make something like this for when people wait for their food for 10 minutes and start asking where it is

Teachers apparently don't know anything about due diligence, because if they did, they wouldn't be bitching about every aspect of their jobs.

Next time, how about investigating every aspect of your career choice before you dive right into it.

They get summers off, several long breaks, plus personal/sick days. frick these teachers that feel they're victimized.

Always cracks me up that teachers think they are the only ones that bring work home.

I literally do work at home every single night after putting the kids to bed. I was just smarter and chose a career that paid better

And 2 months during the school year.

Why do teachers constantly crave back patting while saying they don't want it?
