She had a hot blonde younger sister who worked on BR tv news and left to go work on WWL tv in New Orleans in the late 1980's. She was a fun girl from what I heard, allegedly.

Me and my wife joke around about Donna being all sweetness and light on camera and if something goes wrong, they cut to commercial and she goes berserk and starts yelling "Unprofessional! Fire him! Yes... YOU! Do you know who I am? Do you know that I squash little worms like you EVERY DAY??? Get out!! Either he goes or I go!"

I believe you're thinking of Janet and Margaret Lawhon. Janet was on WWL in NOLA, Margaret on WBRZ.
Buddy of mine dated Janet for a while, said she was really nice and cool.
I, on the other hand, saw Margaret fall off a barstool at Zee Zee's on night while she was there with Shingleton and crew after the news one night.

Yea the good looking young girl is very good at the job. The gray haired guy just tries too hard to be emotional. Very forced looking and comes off as fake.

Donna Britt has been uncomfortably ridiculous.
The pinnacle of her absurdity was last night. One of the field reporters was interviewing the mayor of Sorrento at a time when he knew the floodwaters were probably going to come to his town and their was nothing he could do. The mayor got emotional, which caused the reporter to get emotional herself. The reporter was on the verge of tears while she was talking to the camera and almost seemed apologetic that she was so emotional. It was a genuine human moment where the personal side of things overtook the professional side of things for the reporter.
Cut back to the studio..... While Street Beat Meriwether is pouring his heart out to the camera in response to the interview that just took place, Donna Britt, ON SCREEN, is looking at and waiving to someone off camera with a goofy smile. It was so embarrassingly bad that Meriwether just stopped talking and looked at her as if to say "What the frick is this goofy bitch doing?!" He had to tell the viewers why she was smiling and waiving at such a sad moment. It was unbelievable!
