I can't remember the last female artist I really liked and I really see the appeal of her music and marketing. Not saying I've jammed out to "Shake it Off" or "Style" in my car or anything...

I love this! Out of the $365 million, he will contribute about $50K.

I'm sure there is a song just waiting to be written about him at some point. Hell, I'd like to be subject of one of her songs

but she doesnt take home anywhere close to the gross

Most people don't. What's the point of that? And assuming she has the worst managers, accountants, advisors, and leeches in history, she's still banking nine frickin figures.

which was what?

Apple didn't want pay royalties on songs downloaded during a customer's "free" trial period. She told Apple to go frick themselves and pulled her music off of Itunes. It didn't take Apple very long to come around to her way of thinking.

That took guts and kudos to her for taking a stand.

She's had a monster album she's probably pulled even with Beyonce as the biggest musician of the last 25 years

If you own a business, you wouldn't report your gross sales (ie. Ticket sales). You would report your income after expenses. For most businesses, this can range anywhere from 50% to .001% of gross sales.

she earned my respect when she covered this Vance Joy's Riptide

just her singing and playing piano.

I'm not gonna jam to her songs but I can appreciate a pop singer who actually has musical ability as opposed to her contemporaries

Her humility whether fake or not has served her well in public.

I take back my comments about her being too skinny. She's the most beautiful woman on Earth!

And to get all TMZ-ey....how dumb is Calvin Harris to put getting a handy at an Oriental massage parlor over Taylor Swift?

I had never heard of the dude, but he apparently has made mid 8 figure bank the last few years, so no, he's not contributing $50K, he's got his own money and a lot of it.

calvin harris is currently worth $66 million himself. He was one of the highest grossing artists on tour a few years ago.

Saw him in Vegas earlier this year. Definitely worth it.

You're saying you'd hit the cute, mega-celebrity popstar who rakes in a million per day?
