re: Tarsha Clark-Amar (EBR Council on Aging) responds (PG. 7), mentions being "witch hunt."

There's more scams than investigators or airtime, unfortunately.

Don't forget that they also use those public funds to set up campaign SUPER PACS.
oh while i was reading this thread earlier, esp when the "black power" pics were posted, i was thinking "how many people has this organization gotten absentee ballots for? how many have they driven to go vote?"

For examples of white people cronyism, look no further than the Kenny Matassa bribery scandal or the merry-go-round of the morally f$&ked in Sorrento. Or, the misuse of public funds in the EBR Clerk of Court's office, or the Bruly police chief. It's indemic in all government at every level.

The COA manipulating this old woman is despicable, but I'm not naive enough to believe her children/grandchildren are pure of heart either. This woman probably wanted protection over her estate, but naming someone in the COA executrix is a blatant conflict of interest and a fireable offense IMO.
Completely agree.
If there is an alleged dispute within the family, you use your obvious connections to recommend a third party to handle the estate to avoid the appearance of impropriety. These people are either completely incompetent, feel they are untouchable, or both.

The WEB DuBois "talented tenth" at work.
I wouldn't classify these as the "talented tenth".
Those people would be the successful craftsmen and business owners and tradesmen. Doctors and engineers.
The type we are seeing on display here are just the dregs who are just intelligent enough to manipulate their constituents.
They are not, for the most part, smart people. Just the top turds on the dung heap.

Yep. Marc Morial used to have a damn strong political powerhouse with different groups running their little circus organizations down in Nola. That shite is gone.
The N.O. school board was a real bad one too, but after Katrina the state took most of that power and it's been much better. If you leave it up to the usual folks, they want the power back and it will go back to it's old ways.
The worst for me still down here has to be the Nola Sewage and Water Board.

It's even clearly spelled out in the CoA bylaws under "CONFLICT OF INTEREST"

Not saying it's only black pols. It just seems that the rate of black politicians and family members getting busted for corruption in this state is ridiculous.

If we could heavily fund a few good journalist like Nakamoto and Lee Zurich and let them go nuts, they could probably uncover dirt on 75% of the government agencies in this state. Everything from police juries, city police, sheriff dept, parish council, mayors office, HUD, and most def. these little fifedoms of black groups out to get theirs.
They'd end up dead at some point.

I'm praying that the the election stuff results in an overturn of the tax increase. (which apparently could happen.)

According to Gary Chambers, the white people are just as corrupt, but the blacks only get caught and prosecuted more often because the media is racist

It's fun watching him spin shite. This one was great because we started out with a black person using her position at the CoA to steal from a black family... and he turned it into white politicians are corrupt.

what we need is a way to sue the COA and get their email histories, phone histories (since i'm sure the higher ups get a company phone), etc. is an agency like the COA exempt from FOIA requests?
Posted on 4/3/17 at 12:21 pm to terd ferguson
Look at all of the diversity on the COA.

If it receives tax dollars, I doubt that it is exempt. I would imagine anything involving HIPAA would be heavily guarded.

I don't mean it in the traditional sense.
I mean it in that these people have self-declared themselves as "betters" in the black community and are enriching themselves under that justification. And many of the average people go along because that's how it always goes.
Connections to the money so they can be HNIC and buy support from the little people.

Alexander said Williams' email is evidence the Council on Aging directed public resources to the creation of the fliers, as Williams works for the agency. State law says "no public funds shall be used to urge any elector to vote for or against any candidate or proposition, or be appropriated to a candidate or political organization."
quote:
The flier also says the endorsements listed on it are based on the candidates "record of community involvement, support and engagement with seniors and their issues." Alexander said Williams' request for $500 to place a name on the flier shreds the argument that the candidates' track records determined whether they were placed on it.
quote:
The PAC's campaign finance reports also show contributions from the Council on Aging, despite the taxpayer-funded agency not being allowed to contribute to political activities.
quote:
He said Alexander has assembled enough information to make a complaint to the Louisiana Board of Ethics, and that the Board of Ethics could take the lead in investigating.
I'm guessing nothing ever came of any of this and the Board of Ethics didn't do shite? And here we are smack dab in the middle of another ethics violation... funny how that works.
