Wasn't talkin about the school. Tara is a shite fest from an academic standpoint. Tara the neighborhood is basically OLOM and/or magnet and is one of the better neighborhoods in BR.

Where do the students who go to Tara come from? I live in the area, not Tara, and homes still sale for a great price and the families I see when jogging the neighborhood represent nothing like this.

NBR. EBR schools are about 80-85% black. People either fled to the burbs or pay for private school. The schools aren't representative of the neighborhoods that they are in anymore.

Is there a statue somewhere in Baton Rouge we could remove or something to help with this kind of behavior?

I graduated from Tara in '85. There were many fights in the commons area after busing was introduced in '82.

FCC program Lifeline does in fact exist and funding was increased by the Obama administration from 800 million to 2.2 billion dollars fy 2012 in order to make cell phones available to those that qualify. The term Obama Phone was coined mainly by those who received one as a term of endearment.

Go into teaching they said, make a difference in the lives of young people they said.

Nobody said you have to become a prison warden however.

Tara is by far the worst public high school in Baton Rouge. I've heard from a number of Tara students and they all describe it similarly. It does suck for the students who want to learn.

Bahahahahahahahahaha.

Are you kidding me? Scotlandville, Belle Aire, and others laugh at this notion.

How could I forget about Istrouma? They literally threw rocks at us and had kill whitey signs in the stands when we played them.
